A content-based and practical approach towards learning how to record, edit, and mix, in both a controlled environment and in a live environment. Identifying the basic components of recording studios and live sound systems will also be covered.

Guest Lecturer: Steve Kane
Steve Kane has been a curriculum writer, lecturer, MIDI Department Director, and Career Adviser for Recording Arts and Music Business students at Full Sail University since 1998. He is currently a Director for Audio Workstations, continuously writing course material and lecturing to students. He has previously taught Worship Technology: Sound Systems at the College. He began his professional career in Nashville and has worked in different capacities with Les Paul, Reba McIntyre, Vince Gill, Charlie Peacock, Skip Ewing, Sarah Mason, Jewel, Outkast, Bela Fleck, and Terry Bradshaw. Steve continues his freelance career as a musician, engineer, producer, life coach, and motivational speaker while being a member of River Run Christian Church. He has recently started his own business, Afterschool Active Arts, where private and group lessons are taught for many different art disciplines.
